Food and Nutrition

Project Goals

4-Hers will learn to handle food safely, including knives and other cooking equipment. Members will study the nutritional value of foods based on MyPlate, daily recommended amounts, and nutritional values. Members will prepare various dishes such as healthy snacks, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. Cost analysis of food preparation provides an opportunity to budget purchases.
